The Southern Cross Hotel offers a warm welcome to all those who make it their business to come to Dunedin.

Since opening as the original Grand Hotel in 1883, the now Southern Cross Hotel has been completely refurbished and rebuilt to a standard which is virtually unsurpassed in the city, however, much of the ornate architecture remains very much in evidence and graces many of the fine banqueting and conference rooms.

Function Facilities

The Southern Cross Hotel has six function rooms. Recently refurbished, the Heritage Room offers the grandness of opulence of the Victorian Era and is ideal for product launches, press receptions, conferences and other events. The conference rooms in the Exchange Wing are suitable for training seminars, presentations and small meetings from 8 to 80. All rooms have natural daylight and the Hotel can provide all electronic and audio visual equipment.
